DESCRIPTION:New York State Required 18-Hour Concealed Carry Firearms Safety CourseTuition: $525 \nLecture Length: Sixteen (16) HoursRange Training Length: Two (2) Hours \nThis course is required for the Westchester County / NYS Pistol Permit application. \nThis class is provided monthly in a flexible schedule format. Unless otherwise stated\, all classroom portions are held at the Ossining VAC (info below). Call for more information. Do not call to register. \nAll fees must be paid in full on the day of the class. A $50.00 deposit is required at the time of booking. Deposits can be paid by check\, Venmo\, Chase QuickPay\, or Zelle. Final payments must be made in cash\, Venmo\, or Zelle. All fees are subject to change without notice. All checks must be sent to the address below and made out to Paul Conforti. Do not send checks to the Watch Hill Avenue address. \nTo Register: You must send an email with your full name\, phone number\, county of residence\, and appointment date for Westchester County\, as well as the class you wish to attend. No appointment date is necessary for Putnam\, NYC\, or other counties. Once you are added to the roster\, you will be asked to send a deposit. \nDo not call to register.Registration will only be done by email. \nCancellation Policy: Deposits are not refundable. Students must cancel 48 hours before the class start or 50% of the deposit will be lost. If canceled with 48 hours’ notice\, we will do our best to fit you into the next available class. DESCRIPTION:Defensive Shotgun Course \nShotguns remain one of the most effective and widely used firearms for home defense. Proper training is essential to ensure safe handling and effective use in a defensive situation. This course is designed to prepare students to safely store\, operate\, and deploy a shotgun with confidence. \nStudents will learn the fundamentals of defensive shotgun use\, including safe operation\, ammunition selection\, maintenance\, and cleaning. Instruction will also cover practical techniques for deploying a shotgun in realistic home defense scenarios. \nLoaner shotguns are available for those who do not currently own one\, making this course an excellent option for new firearm owners. \nTuition: $200 \nRequired Equipment: \n\nShotgun (pump or semi-automatic tactical)\nSling\n150 rounds of skeet/target ammunition\n30 rounds of buckshot\n30 rounds of slug ammunition\nPants with belt loops and a sturdy belt\nDuty handgun with holster and 100 rounds of ammunition (optional – handgun transitions will be taught)\nAppropriate range attire\, including eye and ear protection\nSturdy footwear suitable for movement\n\nNot permitted: \n\nFlip-flops\nSandals\n\nAdditional Options: \n\nLoaner shotgun with ammunition: $180\nAmmunition only: $160
