Defensive Shotgun Course

Shotguns remain one of the most effective and widely used firearms for home defense. Proper training is essential to ensure safe handling and effective use in a defensive situation. This course is designed to prepare students to safely store, operate, and deploy a shotgun with confidence.

Students will learn the fundamentals of defensive shotgun use, including safe operation, ammunition selection, maintenance, and cleaning. Instruction will also cover practical techniques for deploying a shotgun in realistic home defense scenarios.

Loaner shotguns are available for those who do not currently own one, making this course an excellent option for new firearm owners.

Tuition: $200

Required Equipment:

• Shotgun (pump or semi-automatic tactical)
• Sling
• 150 rounds of skeet/target ammunition
• 30 rounds of buckshot
• 30 rounds of slug ammunition
• Pants with belt loops and a sturdy belt
• Duty handgun with holster and 100 rounds of ammunition (optional – handgun transitions will be taught)
• Appropriate range attire, including eye and ear protection
• Sturdy footwear suitable for movement

Not permitted:

• Flip-flops
• Sandals
